Retired Commander David Torres has 32 years of police experience and 24 years of experience as a supervisor and administrator with the Corpus Christi Police Department. In addition, he has 23 years of experience working security for retail and service related industries in the Corpus Christi area. He has worked as a detective, a supervisor, and administrative Commander in Criminal and Narcotic Investigations. Mr. Torres’ expertise encompasses child abuse exploitation cases, domestic violence cases, narcotics and vice investigations, assault, theft and burglary cases, as well as, insurance fraud investigations. He has worked closely with the Corpus Christi Loss Prevention Association and has expanded the program to its current state.      

 

Mr. Torres' education includes an Associates of Arts in Law Enforcement and a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate of The Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy of Leadership Command (171st) and has numerous certificates of law enforcement reverence. He currently holds a Level 2 Certification in Crime Prevention and Level 3 Certification in Environmental Design.
